We spoke to Dr. João Pedro Colaço, Intensive Care and Internal Medicine Consultant at Hospital da Luz, who will be presenting a practical, real world AI use case at Intelligent Health UK 2022 (6-7 April, ExCeL London).

 

João's interest in the use of digital tools has led to improvements and the upgrading of available tools in all of the hospitals he has worked for and to create new tools and solutions like the one being presented. His passion and some proficiency in coding has also led him to create his own app, listed in the App Store under the name ‘Remarkable Edge’.

Mathias is currently the Chief Medical Officer EMEA for GE Healthcare, a $17 billion division of General Electric. Mathias is responsible for leading GE Healthcare’s medical, clinical and evidence generation strategies for product modalities in Europe, the Middle East & Africa. Together with his team he provides leadership in healthcare economics and outcomes research and comparative effectiveness research to develop customer value propositions for new and existing products.

Interview with Catherine Lunardi, CEO, GENAIZ

Catherine Lunardi is the CEO and Founder of GENAIZ. Ms. Lunardi has worked for over 20 years in a consulting and business analyst capacity, including as President of Uni3t, a consulting services company in the healthcare and life sciences sectors. Through her work with clients, Ms. Lunardi identified functional gaps in the software solutions available to the industry: "a lack of data to support decision-making" and "difficulty exploiting past data (especially those from failed projects)." Using her expertise and vast experience, she launched GENAIZ in 2016 to be an open and flexible platform based on artificial intelligence and concepts borrowed from neuroscience.
