John Nosta will headline the Intelligent Health UK stage for the first time ever and share never-heard-before insights. John is currently ranked as the #1 global name in health, technology and innovation and he will dive into tech enablement of preventative measures to expand our lives with exponential innovation.
If you could solve any global health problem in the world with AI, what would it be?
A central and fixable problem is the nature of "innovation" vs. "implementation". Today, the world stands ready for fundamental changes based on existing technology. We often lose ourselves in the innovation dynamic when simple and available solutions wait in fringes.
Presuming that was solved, what would your second choice be?
The second critical factor is driving early disease detection with various technological resources. From early detection of atrial fibrillation to advanced image analysis for CT scanning, technology offers us the opportunity to find disease at earlier and earlier stages—reaching a "stage zero" dynamic that actually shared a border with prevention!
How do you think AI will make its biggest mark in healthcare in the next 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
AI is at the center of transformation. From imaging to patient data analytics, the world we live in now isn't just customer-centric, but tech-centric and the opportunities are both amazing and disruptively terrifying!
What’s your biggest fear in relation to the application of AI in the health/medicine field?
Fear lives in a unique duality with innovation: https://johnnosta.medium.com/innovation-and-the-duality-of-wonder-and-fear-9ca5a3284660
How do you think AI will cause human contact in healthcare to change in the future?
Human contact doesn't go away! It evolves to capture different parts of the clinical process. Technology assists in the "cognitive heavy lifting to allow clinicians to focus MORE on their patients!
What does AI mean for the skill requirements of health professionals? How will it change?
Interestingly, AI will allow various healthcare professionals to have a greater "band width" of skills.
Which 2 people do you admire most in the world of AI in healthcare in terms of their work?
Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI and Elon Musk.
Why did you choose to present at Intelligent Health?
Geographically and cognitively diverse.
What are your personal goals from the summit?
To engage with great thinkers who can expand my perspective.
