Join Intelligent Health on Wednesday 3rd June at 1pm BST as we reveal the 5th episode of our Going Viral webinar series. Key experts will share insights on the priority health needs, where AI-driven solutions can assist low and middle-income countries in the fight against COVID-19.
Coronavirus Disease 2019 has spread rapidly around the world with devastating consequences on patients, healthcare workers, health systems, and economies. Those who live and work in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) held their collective breath as the single red dot on the world map morphed into red dots in almost every country in the world.
The enormity of the problems facing all countries, but especially those with serious economic and health resource challenges are becoming evident. In this special webinar, we outline what those challenges are and how to go from insight to action.
- In the light of overall current global health needs, what are some of the most important current COVID-19 related health needs that can be addressed with tech in low- and middle-income settings or in environments with high socio-economic discrepancies?
- What are some of the unique challenges/advantages to tackling COVID-19 in your region?
- What have been some of the most important innovations you have seen or are working on? How are you thinking about accelerating new innovations or localizing/tailoring solutions to the local context in the midst of the pandemic?
- As the coronavirus makes its way into more and more African nations, what do you think are the continent’s strengths, and where do you see the greatest COVID-related needs?
- How are the AI solutions that are developed globally applicable in a low and middle resource context?
- What would it take for us to be prepared for the next pandemic?
